Am 14.09 nimmt der der Offene Raum an der Langen Nacht der Bilder Teil
15h bis Mitternacht.
Im Offenen Raum entsteht aus 4 kg Plastilin eine Welt aus Figuren. Jeder Besucher kann eine Figur modellieren und auf der Bühne platzieren. Die Entwicklungsstadien werden mit Aufsicht-Fotografien dokumentiert.
Welche Figuren werden im Laufe der Nacht wie kombiniert? Welche Geschichten werden geschildert? Finden sich Gruppen zusammen oder treten geheimnisvolle Einzelgänger auf? Führt eine Frau ihren Hund aus? Streichelt der zierlicher Hampelmann den Langstreckenläufer? Nimmt der Straßenmusiker Notiz von den Anderen?
Die zeitgleiche Ausstellung der Aufsicht-Fotografien zeigt die abstrahierter Bilder dieser Nacht, die jeder selbst anregen und beeinflussen kann.

At Offener Raum a world from figures originates from 4 kg Plastilin. Every visitor can model a figure and place on the stage. The evolutionary stages are documented with supervision photographs.
Which figures are combined in the course of the night as? Which stories are described? Do groups meet or do mysterious loners appear? Does a woman carry out their dog? Does the elegant jumping jack stroke the long-distance runner? Does the street musician take notice of the other?
The simultaneous exhibition of the supervision photographs shows the abstracted pictures of this night which everybody itself can stimulate and influence.

„Friederike Abitz“, born and raised in the Rixdorf area of Berlin, bewitches you with the extraordinary and somewhat scandinavian sound of the Nyckelharpa instrument. The Nyckelharpa used to be known and played all over Europe a long time ago. Up until today, the meanwhile rare instrument survived only in a low populated area in Sweden. In the 1920s, it was rediscovered by Eric Sahlström. Now being a national swedish instrument, it returns to Germany and enchants its listeners with its magic sound. Meet Friederike Abitz on „Nyckelharpa Berlin“ as a solo artist. Last but not least, Friederike is also member of the Folk Band „Ensemble Drehmoment“ http://www.ensemble-drehmoment.de/ And apart from that, she’s also involved with ethno music camps http://www.ethno-world.org/.
„Friederike Abitz, geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin-Rixdorf, nimmt euch mit ihrer Nyckelharpa mit auf eine Klangreise nach Schweden. Die Nyckelharpa, auch Schlüsselfidel genannt, war einst in ganz Europa verbreitet. Einzig in einem dünn besiedelten Teil von Schweden hat sie überlebt und wurde in den 1920er Jahren von Eric Sahlström wiederentdeckt. Als Nationalinstrument Schwedens kehrt die Nyckelharpa nun nach Deutschland zurück und verzaubert die Zuhörer mit ihrem wunderbaren Klang. Unter „Nyckelharpa Berlin“ tritt Friederike Abitz als Solo-Künstlerin auf. Mute Swimmer is a moniker of British songwriter and visual artist Guy Dale. Drawing from strands of folk, new wave and post-rock Dale writes songs with the tactics of a performance artist taking the process of writing and the moment of performance itself as a subject. Romantic, ironic and hauntingly melancholic by rapid turns he has quickly earned a reputation as a compelling live performer.
Song Against Itself is out now on Bleeding Heart Recordings and was a single of the week in Rough Trade and Picadilly Records. Other releases include Mute Swimmer (2010) on Woodland Recordings. He also makes experimental sound works under the name Dala.
Mute Swimmer has performed alongside Stanley Brinks (Andre Herman Dune), David Thomas Broughton, Richard Youngs, Alistair Roberts, Carla Bozulich and She Keeps Bees among many others. Mute Swimmer has performed widely in the UK and mainland Europe. He is currently based in Berlin.
